The Division of Biostatistics in the Department of Preventive Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, TN is seeking a postdoctoral scholar. This position provides strong mentorship and an excellent opportunity to further research skills for a career in academia, government, or industry.
We are seeking a scholar with an interest in developing statistical and computational methods for large datasets. The two major areas of interest are clinical streaming data and high throughput genetic/genomic data. The scholar will primarily work with Saunak Sen, PhD and Zoran Bursac, PhD and will have the opportunity to collaborate with other faculty inside and outside the Division of Biostatistics.
The position will be for one year, renewable for a second year depending on productivity. Requirements for the position include a PhD in statistics, biostatistics, applied mathematics, bioinformatics, computer science, or related field. Candidates are expected to have strong computational and statistical skills, and a willingness to learn biology, and clinical science.
